Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-04-15
1. Acceptance
These terms form a contract between you and ALDR Ltd (company number 16548322, registered in England and Wales), the operator of Nutripedia. By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or otherwise using the service you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use Nutripedia.
2. Librarian, not doctor
Nutripedia is a research aggregation tool, not medical advice. We index and summarise published research from sources such as PubMed, the NHS (reused under the Open Government Licence) and EFSA. We do not diagnose conditions, interpret symptoms, recommend treatments, or provide personalised health guidance.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting, stopping or changing any supplement, medication or course of treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something you read on Nutripedia.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service unlawfully or to harm others
- Scrape, mirror or resell our content in bulk without written permission
- Attempt to probe, reverse engineer or disrupt the platform’s security
- Misrepresent Nutripedia output as medical advice to others
- Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes third party rights
4. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity on your account. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings; upon deletion we will erase your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, or where required by law.
5. Intellectual property
Underlying research remains the property of its original authors and publishers and is cited accordingly. Summaries, scores, aggregations, the Nutripedia database structure, the “Nutripedia” name, logo and user interface are owned by ALDR Ltd and protected by UK and international copyright law.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your own personal, non-commercial research.
6. Warranties and liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ALDR Ltd excludes all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of research summaries.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to GBP 100.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence says otherwise.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on the site and, where you have an account, by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
